 Dr. Alice Eaton has been practicing pediatrics in the Portland area since completing her pediatric training in 1992. Dr. Eaton grew up in New Haven, Connecticut, and earned her bachelor's degree in biology at Vassar College. After a year of veterinary research in England, Dr. Eaton relocated to Portland, where she completed her masters and M.D. degrees at OHSU, as well as pediatric residency.
She is currently a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and is board certified in Pediatrics. She has served as Director of the Department of Pediatrics at Providence/St Vincent’s Hospital, as well as serving on the quality assurance committee. Dr. Eaton enjoys all aspects of pediatric care, and in particular enjoys getting to know her patients and their families from their earliest days of life. As the mother of a grown son, she can appreciate all the ages and stages of childhood and parenting.
When she can take time away from work, Dr Eaton enjoys running, biking, skiing, travel and the many cultural offerings of Portland. "I love the multifaceted nature of the Portland community, with it's strong Pacific Northwest historical roots, as well as the newer international population drawn to the area. This brings many interesting multicultural elements to my practice of pediatrics, as well as helping to make Portland a great place to live."
Dr. Eaton enjoys educating her patients and their families to better understand and manage their health concerns, both physical and emotional. "By helping my patients achieve optimum health, I hope to support them in their primary tasks of physical, emotional, and intellectual growth."
